August 2006 - Sky’s the limit for Suffolk Constabulary
The police helicopter hanger at Wattisham Army Airfield in Suffolk, as featured on Chopper Coppers, needed some serious preparation.
Not only was the new 774 sq.m surface to be resistant to Skydrol (aircraft fuel) and be easy to clean, but because of the age of the building there was no damp proof course which obviously had to be rectified.
We installed a high build coating system with surface member primer followed by two coats of Reecote EC017 high build solvent free twin pack epoxy resin coating, finished in light grey to BS00A05.
Sergeant Ady Powell of the Suffolk Constabulary commented, “A polite, efficient working team who did themselves and Respol proud”.
