September 2005 - Respol go back to school at BNFL
When Respol were awarded the contract to supply BNFL with a new flooring system to meet air-bearing specifications, they knew it wasn’t going to be easy. For a start, the Trawsfynydd Decommissioning Site at Blaenau Ffestiniog which was a Nuclear power plant, is one of the hardest for any contractor to gain access to in the UK. Respol’s staff literally had to go back to the classroom and take part in a whole days induction course to qualify to work on the site.
Working to stringent health and safety guidlines is nothing new to Respol who take it in their stride. Having successfully finished the induction, Respol’s staff turned to the task at hand. To carefully prepare and install an anti-osmosis screed system followed by overlay with their own Reeflor EL002 SF self smoothing screed which was specified to meet air-bearing specifications and requirements for the moving of heavy loads.
